Julio Bravo is a Research Scientist with the Energy Research Center at Lehigh University. He also serves as a Research Scientist at Lehigh’s Institute for Cyber Physical Infrastructure and Energy (I-CPIE), where his work focuses on thermal energy storage and modeling of thermal systems.

Dr. Bravo earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. His research interests include carbon capture, solar energy, and hydrogen production. He specializes in modeling complex engineering process systems—such as power plants, carbon capture systems, hydrolysis, and cement plants—using Aspen Plus.

He has additional expertise in industrial refrigeration, nonlinear dynamics, power generation, optimal control, and gas turbine systems, with advanced proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Aspen Plus, and Aspen Dynamics.
